A few stops in Western Mass at Mass Mocha and some small galleries
and onto our final destination: The Roxbury Motel in Roxbury, NY!
And Behind door #22:
Beautiful red velvet suite called Miss Kitty's Saloon (it even comes with cowboy hats!)
It wasn't all soooo relaxing -
We took a cave tour at Howe Caverns:
And a cave boat ride!
A 7 mile hike up Twin Mountain, Sugarloaf, and Indian Head:
Some really cool rock formations along Devil's Path:
Lots of wildflowers and mushrooms:

Lake George where we dried out from the tent flood the night before! David wove together a beautiful array of tarps and rope to form the ultimate rain fortress!
Note the water retention wall out of tarp and tent stakes!
An interesting find on our way south:

On to Lewey Lake - a bit touristy compared to our backcountry site:
A mother duck and her chicks welcomed us as we pulled into our campsite
A ballerina danced in the next campsite
Bratwurst cooking on extendable forks!
Beautiful light over the lake at sunset.
We woke up to a flooding tent in the morning - guess waterproofing doesn't last forever :(
Everything was soaking wet but we were still laughing at this guy:
